Kayaking the Lower Wekiva River, May 14, 2013

Tuesday May 14th was an awesome day to be on the river. The weather is cool and the wildlife is enjoying that too. We saw Limpkins, Little Blue Herons going from their white phase to blue, Osprey, Sand Hill Cranes on the nest, Great Blues and Great Egrets, Ibis, Swallow-tailed Kites, a few Gators for Rosalia ;-) and some Red-bellied Turtles for Jack. The Giant Leather Ferns are back, Spadderdock is blooming and the grins on Alex, Sandy, Andrew, Marshall and Carl's faces tells the rest of the story! Below are a few photos Carl shared with us. Thanks Carl!

Just wanted to say what an incredible tour we had. I thoroughly enjoyed this, Jenny and will most certainly be signing up for another. The weather was wonderful and Kenny is just a great, easy going, knowledgible and friendly guide. I cannot see how this could have been any better! Will be in touch at some later date this summer to set up another tour. Thank you so much Jenny.
