Gorgeous day for a kayak tour March 8, 2014

It was a beautiful day for paddling the Wekiva River. As we headed toward the sulfur spring we got to see 2 pair of Limpkins and the river is so clear that we could see the underwater cliff of the spring. Heading back toward Katie's Landing an Otter came out to mill around and the Great Blues, Little Blues and Tri-colored Herons were all out fishing. The Great Egrets and Ospreys were doing their fair share of playing and the Turtles, both River Cooter and Red-bellies were enjoying the sun too. On the way back we got to see a Momma Gator and we could hear her babies in the background. The Trees and Willows are shooting out new growth now and Spring has definitely sprung on the river!
