Family excursions on the Wekiva River April 12, 2014

It was a nice Spring day on the Wekiva River. In the clear water we could see the fish beds on the river bottom. There were Bass, Pan Fish (Bream and Red-eared Sunfish) and Tilapia beds to see. The birds were out in droves too; Great Blue Herons, Little Blue Herons, Anhingas, Osprey, Cormorants, Swallow-tailed Kites, Black Vultures and we could hear the Red-winged Blackbirds in the background. There were lots of Turtles out sunning, a few Gators out as well and the Indigo, Pickerel Weed, Spatterdock and Lance-leafed Arrowhead is all in bloom. It was a great day to be with the family, exploring Florida's river!
Roy shared these photos below with us and we're certainly glad he did!

Hi Jenny

We had a FABULOUS day with Kenny, please send our thanks to him again and to you for making it all go smoothly!
Next time we come to Florida we will certainly go again.

One of my friends is visiting in June or July and I have passed your details to him after recommending he tries it too!

Thanks for the link, I will certainly save the photos and I have attached some that I took on the day. I will write a good review for you shortly.

Many thanks for everything.

Roy & family. :-)
